The Findings Report brings together physical and/or virtual observations, analyses of cultural objects, descriptions of primary materials, personal narratives, interviews, surveys, and/or experiments that you have conducted to investigate the (sub)cultural topic explored in your first two assignments. The Findings Report is a chance to produce original data and present an original argument or verify an existing one on new terms. The Finding Report’s success depends on well-planned and well-executed fieldwork. All reports must include an interview along with two other forms of fieldwork.
Structure
Your Findings Report should include the following sections.
Introduction: introduce the topic and purpose of the report. Is your purpose to confirm the findings of your literature review? Or is it find out something missing from the literature review?
Methodology: Describe the fieldwork methods you have chosen and explain why you have chosen them. How will they help you complete your research?
Findings: Provide detailed reports on your three attempts at fieldwork. Each report should comprise its own section.
Discussion: Did you confirm your hypothesis? Or did you observe something that contradicted your assumptions? What did you learn that your secondary research did not teach you?
