How did you decide on your major?

In class, we discuss analyzing certain topics. Anything, including items, concepts, events, even people can be analyzed. To analyze means to methodically study a topic by breaking it down into parts and understanding how those parts work within the whole.
For this Essay, consider each of the following topic ideas:
Your degree plan. How did you decide on your major? If you have not yet declared a major, reflect on the possible areas you might consider. Break down the elements of such a plan (i.e., classes, schedules, time to graduate, after graduation directions, etc.)
Guidelines
Write an essay of at least 750-1000 words in APA form, in which you:
Give some background about your topic
Provide any special vocabulary that is needed to understand the topic – if necessary
Break the topic into its important parts (sections) in order of importance – discuss each of these issues or parts and how they impact the whole
This paper should not be made up solely of your opinion. The main focus is the actual topic and its breakdown. Do a little research that provides background information or other details about your topic.
Your paper must have at least 1 or 2 references, which means you will need to include a References page.
Remember that every paper must include
a title page that includes a paper title, your name, the course name, and the date
a strong eye-catching title and introduction paragraph
several body paragraphs
a full wrap-up conclusion paragraph
a References page
every source used in the paper MUST be listed on the References using full APA format
every source listed on the References must be listed where it is used in the paper (last name and year)
every essay must follow APA formatting
be double-spaced
no more than 12 pt font, preferably in Times New Roman
one inch margins all the way around
the first line of each new paragraph must be indented by a half inch
do not put extra space between paragraphs or between the title and the paper – straight double-space throughout
