Research questions: What is the history of this issue? Why has it recently become important to people? How has the modern world influenced its prominence? What are the parts of the argument that make up the whole? What arguments exist that go against your own opinion?
Requirements:
This paper is to be 1250 words long and must contain multiple quotes from expert opinions. Specifically, one of the quotes must be an opinion counter to yours which you must refute. You must provide at least one paragraph of background. Finding solutions/compromises is voluntary. A full Works Cited page, separate from the paper, must be inclouded.
Winning Structure:
1. Introduction: good hook and thesis in which you take a clear stance either for or against your issue.
2. Background: provides a history of the issue and why it is ongoing to this day.
3. Points: make two solid arguments why your side is correct. Include expert opinion.
4. Address the opposition: find at last one argument which goes against your opinion. You should refute why it’s a good point.
5. Conclusion: separate summary why shows you have made your case for your argument.
