The purpose of this assignment is to analyze experimental and qualitative research as a means to understand differences in methods. This assignment will provide the foundation for Chapters 1 and 2 to be used in the Capstone Paper at the conclusion of the MA program.
Procedures:
Select a topic of interest and importance to one’s professional practice, and clearly related to your MA program’s “Program Essential Question”.
Write a research question/statement to focus your research investigation based on your topic. Be sure to include the problem to be investigated, the intervention, and the target group of participants. “How can cooperative learning support healthy learning environments in secondary education?”
Select a quantitative and a qualitative research study.
Use the qualitative and quantitative guiding questions (provided below) to analyze the research method in each study.
