1. Initial Post
A. Summarize what you learned from the Crash Course video. Include a minimum of 3 things you learned about “who can you trust” online.
B. Using the guidelines on the Willamette Library website above, evaluate your website. Write and post a MINIMUM of 2 paragraphs to the discussion board, including: 1. Who wrote it?; 2. Motivation and bias; 3. Evidence and reliability; and 4. Timelessness (using the suggestions in the Willamette website). Do not summarize the content of your site, write about the credibility of the source. Make sure to include the full reference of the website in your post. If you need to cite within the text of your discussion post, for MLA you use author and page number and for APA you use author and year (and page number if it is a direct quote).
C. Explain peer review vs. other types of scientific writing or sources of information. Why is peer review an important part of the scientific process and increases scientific validity? Does your source fit into any of these categories (if so, which)?
