2. Choose one of the prewriting strategies (mapping, freewriting, focused freewriting, or outlining) and begin to draft your ideas. Follow the steps suggested below:
Begin by writing a claim. Make sure it is a bold, provable, statement.
State the grounds, the reason for your claim.
Write why the grounds supports the claim. This is your warrant.
Then, identify three backing articles for your claim. Each backing will be developed in a separate paragraph in Essay 2.
Give a believable rebuttal to your claim.
Finally, taking into consideration the rebuttal, write a qualifying conclusion.
