All the necessary citation information for entry is provided, but in scrambled order and with additional unnecessary language you’ll need to delete. You will also need to format with proper punctuation and capitalization, among other things. Remove the original instructions as well. The goal of this exercise is to get you familiar with using your handbook and web-based citation resources, of which you will be totally dependent on.
First, identify the kind of source being cited, and then locate the source example in the MLA Works Cited index on the Purdue OWL site or any other MLA manual. General format rules: the entries should be in alphabetical order by the first letter of the author’s last name, or if no author is listed, the first letter of the title of the publication, and so on. Double space. Use hanging indents, etc.
