2. (4 Points) List of a minimum of FOUR academic sources after reading about the topic.
– Include at least one source from a broad overview of the topic (e.g. a topical encyclopedia, Wikipedia, TED talks, newspapers, or magazines).
These sources are meant to help you learn more about the topic and lead you to find more detailed and specific articles for your Research Essay.
–
Include at least three sources from specific scholarly studies about the topic (e.g. journal
articles from the Library Database, Google Scholar).
Note: You are not allowed to use any of the broad overview sources (e.g. Wikipedia, TED talks, and information found using Google Scholar) in your Research. YouTube videos are not allowed either. If you are unsure about whether you can use a certain source in your Research Essay, you can ask me.

o Read from the entire source (article or chapter) first BEFORE your summarize. o Be specific in your summaries. Remember your previous assignments.

• These questions should come out of your brainstorming about the topic.
• Each possible question should be in a complete sentence.
• Choose ONE of these questions to be your Research Question that you will answer in your
Argumentative Research Essay (1000-1200 words).
o You don’t need to answer the question yet. The thesis statement in your Argumentative Research Essay will be the answer to that Research Question.

o Your rationale includes your reason for choosing this topic.
o It also includes why you think this topic matters to other people.
