Directions for Completing the Response
Part One
Brainstorm and share a list of potential data sources that will provide you with insight into your research question(s). Consider and make note of all possible ideas. After you’ve made your list, think about the data collection strategies that are the most and least practical. What makes a strategy practical? What makes one impractical? Are there strategies you labeled as impractical that might provide valuable understandings into your questions? Is there a way to adapt these strategies so that they are a more reasonable way of collecting data? Part Two
After you brainstorm a list of potential data sources, you are ready to narrow in on the strategies you might utilize. To help you do this you will construct a data collection chart. Title your chart using your primary research question. Create two columns. Label the first one “Information That Would Help Me Answer My Question” and label the second column “Data Collection strategies That Would Generate This Information.” Include at least 4-5 pieces of information that will help you answer the question.
