Don’t plagiarize!

Your essay needs to be at least 5 paragraphs long (1000-1500 words), typed, and double-spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font. You MUST use at least 3 sources in your essay and you MUST have in-text citations and a Works Cited page. If you turn in your essay without those items, you won’t be able to pass the assignment. DON’T PLAGIARIZE! Cite EACH source WHEN you use them. Plagiarism is grounds for failure of the assignment and the course. Your essay should be 70% your voice and about 30% your outside sources. Your paragraphs could be organized this way:
1. Introduction paragraph with your thesis as the LAST sentence.
2. Support Paragraph #1
3. Support Paragraph #2
4. Counter-argument paragraph with a refutation of their ideas
5. Conclusion paragraph. Leave your reader with something to think about (prediction) or something to do (call to action). Remind your readers of the importance of your topic.
6. Works Cited page with your sources listed in alphabetical order based on the author’s last name first.
