In your teaser, you should: , have a beginning and half-of-a-middle. It should follow and demonstrate solid rhetorical practice, as well as Freytag’s pyramid ethos, pathos, logos. Feature appropriate, relevant, thoughtful images in high resolution. Just like how your StoryMap “works” because of the way the words function in harmony with the images and navigational experience, your teaser should feature several “impactful” visuals (art, photo, etc.) to punctuate and emphasize your points. This is a form of “evidence,” if you will. Also, low-quality, low-resolution pictures, in addition to making it hard to see, just makes everything look cheap.
“Recycle” no more than two images from your StoryMap (ideally, the “best” ones). You want to give audiences a fresh experience and avoid being redundant.
