For this paper, you will summarize ONE article from your Everyone’s an Author textbook.

The first part of this assignment is to read your article carefully, probably several times. Next,
write a summary of your article. Tell me the who, what, when, where, how, as well as the
author’s main arguments. I expect quotes and paraphrases from the article to add a sense of
completeness. Because you will be quoting and paraphrasing from the article, you will need to
document your borrowings internally as well as provide a Works Cited. Finally, I want you to
take a stab at trying to figure out a deeper purpose to the author’s writing, though not typically
included in a summary. What might the author be saying about the topic and life in general?
Your essay MLA-style essay should be 3 pages long. Page 4 will be your Works Cited.
