Race, Economics, Ethnicty: Do they Matter?
It is a fact that racially and socially diverse environments increase opportunities for learning, as is seen in “The Benefits of Socioeconomicallyand Racially Integrated Classrooms” and it is also a fact that students in urban envronments are disadvantaged as is seen in “Poverty and Academic Achievement.” Aftger reading these two articles, and the “Poverty” one is a dense reading, cite one or both texts in relation to ensuring “Equity and Excellence for All,” citing that third text as well.

– this is a research essay, so the use of persnal pronouns (I, we, us, our, you, your, etc.) is prohibted.
– as this is a formal essay, use of contractions is prohibited
– no cover page
– if you use a header, it is single-space, remove excess spacing before and after
– you are required to properly cite each of the three readings at least once each (minimum 3 citations)
– the essay is to be prepared in Word, and submitted as an email attachment, as a .doc or .docx, to me via email. No other format is accepted, I cannot grade links
– presuming you submit the essay before Friday midnight, if it needs to be amended, you have until the following Friday to submit an amended copy, as often as you like
