Reflection Journal Question Prompt: Part of the politics involves determining which social and economic ideals the government will practice. Often, those ideals evolve and may change according to the domestic and/or international environment of the time. Taking into consideration the political ideals discussed, explain what you believe to be more important: individual liberty or national security? Why do you believe this ideal to be more important? What methods of civic engagement can you participate in to help ensure that your selection is understood as a high priority?

Action: consider your learning experience throughout this Lesson as well as your past understanding of American Government and Civic Engagement
Deliberative: think about multiple perspectives regarding individual liberty or national security when determining the best solution
Critical: indicate what logical changes can be implemented to arrive at your best solution
Within the general content of your reflection journal, remember that details provide strength. Seamlessly incorporate the 5Ws of information into your writing: who, what, where, when, and especially why.
