Clearly identify the learning goal(s) and outline a research-based plan designed to incrementally improve the teacher’s practice over the course of a school year.
Include the necessary resources (videos, articles, books, courses, etc…) and details of the coaching process. The best plans include learning in manageable increments, best practices for adult learning, and frequent feedback.
Be written so that each goal contains a step-by-step process for improvement in conjunction with learning resources and a plan for follow up support.
Explicitly and clearly explain the goal, the steps in the process, and the rationale for the interventions.
