Write a report detailing a curriculum development you would like to undertake at your school/setting. Your target audience is the principal of your setting. You can take this in any direction you want to. For example, You can choose to write a proposal on decolonizing the curriculum and bring in theory from the units to support this. If you take this kind of approach, make sure that you have a clear sense of how you would achieve this aim in practice.
Or you could focus on the introduction of a synthetic phonics programme in the Early Years, or of a project based element in Year 9 History, as two possible examples. Whatever you choose to consider in your report, you need to place your report in a theoretical framework and show how the literature in this field informs your observations and helps move them on to justify a development that clearly shows your understanding of the scope of your subject and curriculum knowledge. Equally, you must show some awareness and sensitivity to how your curriculum change would fit in your setting. Consider the profile of your learners and wider cultural issues.
