You will develop a nursing philosophy paper which should clearly reflect your personal philosophy of nursing. The paper should include your own perspective of nursing’s metaparadigm of person, health, care, and environment, as well as the identification of other concepts that you believe should be a part of your personal metaparadigm. Discuss how these concepts interrelate in terms of how you understand the field of modern nursing. Give one or more examples from the field of nursing that captures the essence of your philosophy. What is important in your practice of nursing including your values, beliefs, and assumptions about nursing as science and art? The introduction should clearly state your personal philosophy as it relates to the field of nursing.
This paper should be written in your own words. No citations are required; however, if the writings or statements of others have influenced your philosophy, these should be included and should be properly cited. The paper should be in proper APA format and 750-1000 words in length (not including the title page). Please refer to the grading rubric for required criteria.
